Gleem is a Reggae / Hip-Hop artist based in Portsmouth, UK, who has been performing, recording and mentoring since the early 1990's.

During the 2000's, Gleem has supported acts such as Blade, MCD, Million Dan, MysDiggi, Rodney P and Skitz, also doing a joint headline with Skinnyman for The Go*Off Hip-Hop night.

In mid 2000's, Gleem has had the opportunity to meet The Wailers, which developed into the Sound Engineer, Christian Cowlin, producing his Debut Album "Royal Bloodline" and Single "Adjust Your Brightness", featuring Gary "Nesta" Pine.

Gleem has also spent a decade teaching battle rapping, writing and performance music workshops through a local young people’s charity Music Fusion. Visiting over 60 different youth establishments and festivals in the local area. This led to Gleem being Host for multiple gigs and working with established UK artists such as MIC Righteous, Logic and Genesis Elijah.

Nice Vibes


Gleem started his journey performing music in 1992 at Bridgemary Youth Club, alongside Mark Searle, Red Lion and Olafa. Later joined by Graffik, Son-1, Morpheus, Chemistry, Hslaw and DJ Kensta, and updated their name to Nice Vibes.


The Go*Off Crew


In the early 2000's, Gleem joined forces with Portsmouth's Premier Hip-Hop night The Go*Off, consisting of Uncle Al, Gentle Bren, Panoramix, Dharma77 and DJ Theory. Supporting legendary UK Hip-Hop acts such as Blade, Skinnyman, MCD & Million Dan, Rodney P and Skitz.


Music Fusion


During the 2000's, Gleem worked part-time as a Music Leader for Music Fusion, a charity who operates across Hampshire giving music opportunities to young people to write, perform and record.


The Wailers


Mid 2000's, Gleem had the pleasure of meeting his core inspiration, The Wailers, and Producer / Sound Engineer Christian Cowlin, who would proceed to produce Gleem's album "Royal Bloodline" and single "Adjust Your Brightness"'.


BBC Panorama


Gleem briefly appeared performing at Rowner Carnival, alongside Graffik, in the BBC Panorama documentary "What future for Kurt?" as part of their Postcode Poverty investigation.


Lion Paw Soundsystem


Gleem teamed up with DJ Smudge to form Lion Paw Soundsystem. Gigging in and around Portsmouth from private parties and small pubs, to one of the largest OXJAM music festival ever to be held in Portsmouth, and also participating in sound Clash in Birmingham.


Lush FM


Lion Paw were given a slot on local Portsmouth community radio station Lush FM. Prime-time slots on Saturday and Sunday playing the classic reggae and dancehall favourites, while also brand new releases and multiple live performances.


OXJAM Festival


Castlefield in Southsea, Portsmouth in 2008, one of the largest OXJAM music festivals Portsmouth has ever seen. Lion Paw were the hosts of the main tent.


Royal Bloodline


Gleem's Official Debut Album, produced by Christian Cowlin (The Wailers), with 10 tracks documenting Gleem's journey so far.


Jerk Jam Festival


Supporting / Act before the legendary Tippa Irie.


Adjust Your Brightness


Single, featuring former lead singer of The Wailers and Platinum selling artist Gary ""Nesta"" Pine. Adjust Your Brightness was a response to the never ending hypocrisy and corruption taking place during the pandemic.


Word of Mouth


Gleem had the pleasure to celebrate Portsmouth leading recurring Hip-Hop night, Word Of Mouth's 1st Birthday with a live performance. The key organisers of Word Of Mouth, Blessed and Kizz, are both a direct product and evidence of the success and benefit of Music Fusion. They themselves were Young Artists, who were guided by Music Fusion and they themselves up and ended up working for them.


Battle Grounds Final (Judge)


Gleem was a Judge in the Battlegrounds 2024 Final, with Rockafeller Skank vs Jallen (Winner).


Portsmouth Music Awards Nominee


Gleem is nominated for R & B / Reggae / Afrobeat / Dancehall Act of the Year.
